ALS 7
ALS7 is a 2018 Ford F550 XLT, one of two emergency medical units. ALS7 is our primary Advanced Life Support apparatus.
Medic 71
Medic 71 is the newest EMS unit in the fleet. Medic 71 is powered by a 2021 Ford F550 XLT Braun. Adorned with the American flag and star of life ready and equipped to serve the community.
Fire Supression
Engine 71
Engine 71 is the first of two fire apparatus in the fleet. Equipped with state of the art fire suppression and extrication equipment, making it an essential apparatus for every fire and motor vehicle accident.
Brush 71
Brush 71 is powered by a 2022 Dodge Ram and serves primarily as a brush and field fire truck, capable of off-roading and equipped with various fire fighting tools.
Tender 71
Tender 71 is equipped with a 3000 gallon tank and responds to fire calls with limited or no water source in both city and rural areas. It is used for water shuttle operations and also functions as a fire pumper.
Truck 71
The newest addition to the Swanton Fire Department is the 2024 Sutphen SL-75. Truck 71 is a 75 foot aerial apparatus used on both fire and rescue calls. It is capable of high angle or confined space rescue.
Support Vehicles
Prevention 71
This 2013 Chevy Tahoe is assigned to the Fire Prevention Bureau and is equipped for fire inspections and public education events.
Utility 71
Utility 71 is a 2023 Dodge Durango. Utility 71 is equipped to respond as an echo unit to emergency medical calls with additional staffing as required.
Command 70
Command 70 is a 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD that is fully equipped as a mobile command vehicle assigned to the Fire Chief.
